rustup install stable error during download

Question

I install Rust with command:

$ curl -sSf https://static.rust-lang.org/rustup.sh | sh

when I run:

$ rustc main.rs

this appeared:

error: no default toolchain configured

so I run:

rustup install stable

then:

info: downloading component 'rust-std'

at the first,I use the follow to install rust, the error information printed as before, there is a download error:

$ curl https://sh.rustup.rs -sSf | sh

what can I do to install rust currently and completely?

I have solved this problem with follows:

rustup update
rustup default stable
sudo apt-get install gcc

In my case, I removed curl installed through snap and reinstalled it through apt. And that solved my problem.
