I'm a statistician by training and worked for a number of years as data scientist in a general business analytics consulting role. Now I do data science for market research. I've been programming in R for more than a decade and until the last few years was pretty terrible at it but I've been learning a lot and am pretty decent now. I dabble in Python, node.js and other languages - especially as they can help me out. I enjoy painting wargaming miniatures (Protectorate of Menoth in Warmachine is my jam), reading, riding my motorcycle, backpacking and craft beer.
