I have been working with PHP since the late PHP3 days. I have been very active in the PEAR and PHP core community, serving among other things as the release manager for PHP 5.3 and initially setting up wiki.php.net. I have been involved in several OSS project as well, specifically Doctrine, Symfony (core as well as co-lead of the CMF initiative), PHPCR/Jackalope and various other projects.
