npm does not support Node.js v16.10.0

Question

when i run 'npm install npm@latest -g' script on terminal

it show the error like this

my node version is

v16.10.0

and my npm version is

6.9.2

Please kindly suggest and help

You need to install the supported npm version in order to run the given node version. You can find more details below. https://nodejs.org/en/download/releases/
