Question

I downloaded the sample code from this link: https://spring.io/guides/gs/accessing-data-mysql/ I changed application.properties file as bellow:

spring.jpa.hibernate.ddl-auto=create
spring.datasource.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test
spring.datasource.username=root
spring.datasource.password=
spring.datasource.driver-class-name=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver

After that I go to source folder and run this command: mvn clean spring-boot:run This error occured:

Perhaps the sample code is incomplete or perhaps you made some error during the tutorial.

From Spring IO docs related to Spring Boot:

77.6 Use a custom EntityManagerFactory

To take full control of the configuration of the EntityManagerFactory, you need to add a @Bean named ‘entityManagerFactory’. Spring Boot auto-configuration switches off its entity manager based on the presence of a bean of that type.
