How to insert a newline without submitting in Gemini CLI [closed]

When composing a message to Gemini CLI, how do I insert a newline without firing off a message?

On macOS I've tried these 3 without success:

• Enter : Sends message
• Shift + Enter : Sends message
• Cmd + Enter : Toggles full screen mode

As of version 0.1.13 (22 July 2025), one can insert newlines on macOS, Windows and Linux by pressing CtrlJ
